About Victoria Clark

I’ve spent most of my professional life studying people.
After decades in recruitment and human resources, I interviewed thousands of individuals from every walk of life. Every conversation revealed something unique—ambition, resilience, humour, heartbreak, courage, reinvention. It taught me that everyone has a story worth telling.

Writing became the natural next chapter.

My books explore the wonderfully complicated nature of people, sometimes with humour, as in my debut, Celestial Circus, a light-hearted look at astrology and the personalities we recognise in ourselves and those we love. Other stories venture into Southern Africa’s rich history, where remarkable lives, family legacies and extraordinary events provide endless inspiration.

Whether I’m writing comedy, historical fiction or contemporary stories, I keep returning to the same question: what makes people who they are?

When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me travelling or exploring the African bush, collecting the fascinating stories that often become the seeds of my next book.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope my books make you laugh, think, and perhaps see people a little differently.
